Lots of children, teenagers and even their parents have questions about E-safety, and they don't know where to go.

It's a subject that can scare some parents... because they don't feel comfortable talking about it with their children

If you're a parent or a child and want to know more about E-safety, contact our advice team @ Northants secondary E-safety team, xxx.sssss@education.org.uk. See, I couldn't put the real E-mail address, as that would be going COMPLETELY against what I'm trying to get across to you!

If something has happened online that has made you feel uncomfortable , unsafe, or insecure, or anything else for that matter, you can report it to the CEOP website or contact them by text, call or by email;  that way you can  contact the police quickly, if needed.

TEXT: 888 58
TELEPHONE: 0800 389 6176
EMAIL: help@nspcc.org.uk
Also, there is a website that you can download a shortcut for FREE onto your desktop so that as soon as anything bad happens, you can click on it and it will report it to the police if necessary or just sort you out.

                                                              This is the CEOP symbol:

REALITY CHECK!!!

Many horrible accidents happen each year, because people think they know what they're doing on the internet, but the truth is : they DON'T!

It's simple really, just don't talk to people you don't know , or give any personal details away, just think sensibly.

This is an important issue that everyone needs to know about and I think that this blog will help answer any questions and inform you on the matter.

What is E-safety?

E-safety, is like a policy for when you are on the internet. All sorts of things can happen when you are on your laptop, or computer, for instance: planning to meet up with someone you don't know, and it doesn't turn out how you expected...  If you put across your details online, you don't know who can see them and you might end up getting a strange phonecall, or 'visit'. But if you follow all the rules of E-safety, you won't get into any trouble whatsoever.
